Massage Therapy
Massage has been an effective technique for relaxing, healing and strengthening the body for centuries.
At Northwich Foot Clinic, all of our treatment programmes are tailored to meet the needs of each of our clients. We do this by offering a combination of Osteopathy, massage therapy and MSK rehabilitation, each focusing on different areas of relief.
Using the expertise of our specialist practitioners, we work to relieve pain and help our clients to heal as fast as possible.
Deep Tissue Massage
For those with chronic aches and pains, deep tissue massages are extremely beneficial.
When the body is traumatised, muscles tense to protect the damaged area, and limit movement to aid healing. While this is a natural process, if the muscles stay stiff for too long, or get too tight, this can cause problems such as muscle tension and chronic pain.
A deep tissue massage uses slow, deep, pressurised strokes and sustained finger pressure to break down the muscle tension and help you to relax and move more freely.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage works the soft tissues and muscles using the 5 core techniques of effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement and vibration. Unlike deep tissue massage, Swedish massage therapy uses less pressure on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. These massage techniques also improve the body’s natural ability to absorb oxygen, which helps it to rejuvenate and eliminate toxins. The adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for soothing tight muscles as well as for relaxation and boosting well-being.
Reflexology Massage
Reflexology massage is a deeply relaxing hands-on therapy that involves the application of pressure to different reflex areas on the feet in order to support the body’s own healing and revitalising processes. In working holistically to calm the nervous system, this therapeutic massage may also improve the circulation and disperse toxins. It helps to bring about a sense of balance and well-being, supporting the effective functioning of the immune system and creates a healthy flow of energy throughout the body – a wonderful form of stress-relief.
Back Or Body Massage
A back or body massage is a complementary massage that uses a variety of pressure and techniques. Includes deep tissue work on your back along with lighter pressure on bony areas. Any other areas you want our therapist to focus on can be treated if you choose the longer body massage session. Your therapist may use hot stones to warm the areas to be worked on and enable a more soothing, relaxing treatment.
This massage can relieve aches, pains and reduce tension in you. It stimulates blood flow, lymph and oxygen in your body, and therefore may also relieve stress, help you sleep better and reduce anxiety. Some say it can even help you to concentrate better at work!

What Our Patients Think
Could not recommend them more highly if I tried!
Excellent service yesturday and the first people not to make me feel like a freak for having a slight weird foot issue.
KATIE LOUISE MOSEEH
Excellent staff and facilities. When we moved to Winsford we were concerned at finding a good podiatrist but we have found in Cheshire an excellent venue.
LESLEY R EVANS
I could hardly walk using a stick when I went in, and I walked out fine a while later. It’s a great place, and many thanks to the registrar at Leighton hospital, who pointed me in their direction when I thought everywhere was closed.
